Accueil très limite. Le réceptionniste n’a pas répondu à nos demandes: coffre fermé, pas assez de serviettes, etc Très mauvaise surprise avec la chambre: vetuste, triste, climatisation bruyante, sanitaires très anciens, fonctionnant mal, et limite insalubres… Nous avions choisi cet hôtel en lisant les excellentes critiques qui figurent sur Booking et la note qui lui est attribuée ( fabuleux) . Cela ne correspond en rien à notre expérience …. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit et aurions changé d’hôtel si nous avions dû rester plus longtemps à Kumarakom

The bird droppings/ and mess they create over the stairs and balconies. Location is a bit deserted

Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The room was spacious and well appointed, the grounds and pool were calming and the food was great. Most importantly, the staff were amazing. Every question and request was met with a smile.

There wasn't anything to be unhappy with.

Beautiful hotel right on the lake with lovely gardens and a large swimming pool. We were upgraded to a private pool villa which was spacious, clean and quiet despite renovation work nearby. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly especially Chinnu. The restaurant served a great buffet breakfast and dinner there was delicious! The hotel provided afternoon tea with snacks which we loved. We enjoyed the village walk with Amil who was friendly and informative.

The only negatives would be that it was a little expensive for food and drinks compared to other hotels we stayed- but was still worth it. There were renovations going on so parts of the resort were closed off but we didn’t find it too intrusive. There is also a bar/restaurant adjoining the hotel with access from within the hotel gardens and also from outside with little signage but we enjoyed our visit there.

The place is very beautiful. We really enjoyed the pool and restaurant. The Chef is so nice always taking care and friends and making amazing food. The prawns in mango curry are the best we ate in India ! We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here

2 things : First , the hotel is pretty far from things ( 45 min taxi to Alleppey) . In addition one of the evenings we wanted to go eat alsewhere and no taxi could be found so eventually we had to stay in the hotel . Second, I think it's a bit over priced . Still ,we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it :)

Chrissie's Hotel is a perfect location for accessing places of interest within the area. The rooms are hand painted by visiting artists and balconies overlook an attractive garden or, if higher, the tree canopies. We saw monkeys, squirrels and many birds in the trees each day. Adel and his staff are so enthusiastic and could not be more helpful. They booked tickets and transport for us and offered useful advice during our trip. A variety of delicious foods are available at breakfast with home made breads and jams.

Kind & helpful staff

It would have been good, but there was major construction work going on which was very noisy. In addition, the advertised spa and Ayurvedic treatment facilities were not available. Both of these issues caused major disappointment with the resort. It was not good value for the price. The room had steep steps & needed a handrail for safety.
