The Old Laundry

The apartment was much more spacious than I had anticipated, it had all the comforts of home (Sue seems to have thought of everything, including providing lots of information materials about local history, services and sites), was exceedingly comfortable, clean and quiet, within a very short walking distance to the centre of town. I was greeted by Sue who provided a thorough induction to the apartment, town map and visitor recommendations. Generous breakfast and snack provisions were also provided.

Nothing to dislike. Although not a problem for me, it is worth noting that there are multiple steps of varying non-standard depth that may be challenging for others and the door key lock mechanism, while no doubt incredibly secure, was a little tricky to get used to.,

A great host with a well equipped and comfortable apartment on the lower floor. The apartment came with snacks, milk, bread and an espresso machine. We were sorry that we stayed for only one night. Definitely recommended.

Sue ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin, sie hat uns alles gut erklärt, ist total freundlich und generell ist die Ferienwohnung schön und gut ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer ist groß, das Bett ist bequem und das Badezimmer ist auch sehr schön und sehr sauber. Man ist fußläufig schnell in der Innenstadt von Rye und in der Nähe von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Pubs und der Altstadt.

Wir hatten anhand der Bilder angenommen, dass die Ferienwohnung im Hauptgebäude ist und keine Souterrain Wohnung. Aufgrund der schönen Bilder des Hauses haben wir die sehr viel befahrene Straße vor dem Haus in Kauf genommen und diese Unterkunft einer anderen vorgezogen. Tatsächlich führt allerdings eine sehr steile Treppe zur Wohnung durch eine Holztür neben dem Wohnhaus. Diese ist sowohl für Menschen als auch für Hunde mit eingeschränkter Mobilität, oder kleinere Hunden unseres Erachtens nicht geeignet. Zudem gab es für unsere Bedürfnisse zu wenig Stauraum in Küche und Schlafzimmer. Der Einbauschrank im Flur war für unsere Bedürfnisse leider nicht ausreichend geeignet.

Lovely property and a lovely host, me and my partner had a very pleasant stay and felt very well looked after by the hosts, excellent location, clean and very homely, would definitely stay again!

I was expecting a bedroom. I got a bedroom, en-suite shower room, kitchen with everything I needed for breakfast and a large sitting room.

The most likeable aspects, were the hosts! Sue made us very welcome, everything you could possibly need sh’d already got it covered.

Thank you for everything. The house is cared for to the smallest detail—it truly feels like home. A place that goes the extra mile. I will definitely recommend and return.
