The Old Laundry

The apartment was lovely, very spacious, clean and homely.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

Spotlessly clean and everything provided that you could need. Lovely welcome from Sue and a lovely welcome hamper.

The decor and furniture in the lounge very old fashioned. There is too many ornaments every surface is covered in tacky ornaments. If they were cleared away, it would be a much more restful vibe.

Lovely location, very helpful hosts. Really loved the fish! Little touches made it a very welcoming place.

Would like to have had a lock on the door to the main house on our side.

Very nice host and the apartment had everything (kitchen appliances, huge freezer and fridge, microwave, dryer, washing machine, TV...) - you could move in and live here for years.

Unfortunately, we had the worst night of our two-week-stay here. It was hot during the day and there was no way to open any window to cool down the rooms - all locked. There is a standing fan but that does not help when trying to sleep. Combined with the 100% polyester bed linen and covers (the duvet cover was even a quilted polyester felt) it was miserable and sweaty.

Spacious and clean and comfortable. Lots of little details thought about and everything you need and so much more! Peaceful too.

Nothing

I booked for my wife and I to stay for her birthday, it was like a home from home. Sue was very welcoming and friendly, she showed us around the apartment showing us how everything worked and recommended places that are worth a visit and were dog friendly! We were also welcomed by a lovely hamper containing bread, milk and treats there was even fresh orange juice, jams and butter in the fridge! Sue even went the extra mile to ensure our dog had treats. The bed was super comfy, we even had sky TV and Netflix to watch if we wished. Our overall experience was wonderful and we will definitely be recommending to friends and family who wish to visit Rye to stay at The Old Laundry! Thank you Sue for the wonderful stay.

Sue was great. The location at first was worrying as right next to a busy road but the apartment was through a side gate of the property and downstairs to the back so the apartment was actually quiet. There was bread , milk, tea,coffee even some Jaffa cakes . Everything was clean and all we needed. It was just a very short walk to Rye high street and all the sights . Supermarket also a short walk. Thanks Sue.
