Great location, walking distance to town, comfy bed and the hosts were lovely. Fantastic grand house. Continental breakfast was a bonus.

Lovely old homestead. The location was perfect for my needs. I was catching a bus to Christchurch in the morning and the bus stop to get to the depot was a very short walk up the road. The breakfast was conveniently located in the fridge of my bedroom. All in all, the stay met my needs.

There was no one at the premises when I arrived. He had not arrived by the time I went out for dinner. Fortunately I had saved the number on my phone and the owner directed me up the outside stairs to a door where I keyed in the code he gave me to enter. I then carried my bag down the inside stairs to the other side of the front door. Had I known, I would have left my bag outside the front door and collected it once I had found my room. My private bathroom was across the corridor by the front door.
