Very tastefully furnished and excellent location, very close to beaches and to the pedestrian square of Ostia

Although the furniture is quite modern, the property lacks general attention to basic details, which would be taken for granted given the cost: no AC, only 1 power socket in 2nd bedroom (blocked by a wardrobe), no bathroom carpet or bin, broken shower hose which makes a mess to shower, no bidet, fused hair dryer

The town is amazing, quaint little sidewalk cafés, and a nice beach.

We did not have access to the elevator, and there was no air-conditioning. When we got to the room, it was 35°C, and never went under 30 Celsius.

Location and proximity to beach

Where do I start! The property is on the 2nd floor and has 50 steps up to it. There is a lift but the owner does not pay to use it. I was traveling with 2 x children and my elderly mother which made the steps very difficult. A lovely chap in the building helped with our luggage. The property advertises a sofa bed but I had to plead my case in order to get bedding for it. There is no air conditioning but fans were provided, however one of the bedrooms has no plug sockets so was too hot to sleep in. There were no cups or kettle provided in the kitchen and the rest of cutlery/crockery offering was very sparse. The owner was very slow at responding and pretty unhelpful. When I tried to get help getting to airport, I got a very terse ‘taxi’ response, which is easier said than done when you don’t speak Italian. The lock on the door to the apartment was very flimsy and I was worried about our valuables when we went out. We were very disappointed, particularly as we had travelled from Australia and taken my elderly mother away for a treat.
