South Downs Haven nr Petersfield and Goodwood

The property was really clean and tidy and there was plenty of space.

It looked a little different from the website photos as the furniture had been moved around.

The keys were exactly where they were described by host. The property was clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking. Footpath opposite for a dog walk was useful too.

Location was good for what we were attending. Bedding clean. Bathroom clean.

Approaching the accommodation it was clear this was a converted garage. The breeze block where there was once the door giving it away. The door had to be closed with force and the step up into the accommodation was high. The photos are somewhat misleading. The interior is one open space, the smells from any cooking you do permeate everything. The bathroom is of course separate. There is no wardrobe or clothes storage facility. I couldn't locate the iron mentioned in the advert. One bedside light, rather than two. Very limited cooking equipment, no measuring jug for example. Mugs were two mismatched obviously discarded items from the owners house. Shower was ok, but a shelf to put your gel etc on rather than the floor would make a huge difference. Overall, priced too high for what is actually received.

Advertised as a one bedroom house , but in fact is a converted garage to one room with a separate bathroom . It worked for us as we were visiting family but if it had been for a holiday , wouldn’t have been great as just one room and no sofa , just a bed and two table chairs and a small table. Also hook in the bathroom look like they are going to fall off the wall and small cupboard with cooking things in door handles come off when you try to open .

The converted garage was very clean and functional . We were walking the South Downs way. We arrived on Sunday evening so nowhere local to get food . I emailed the property and some pasta /pesto was left out for us which was much appreciated .

Noise from the trains at the back of the property.

Nice location. Ideal for parkrun in the morning. Kitchenette had basic essentials. Nice flowers. Driveway is difficult to park in, but plenty of space on roadside. Enjoyed our visit to the George Pub in Petersfield.

Lacks some simple comfort touches e.g soft seating, somewhere to unpack some clothes to, second bedside lamp, a rug. The shower room would be better for some tiles around the basin, a vanity unit, toilet roll holder and a toilet brush.

Compact, clean and comfortable. Close to lovely woodland walk.

Was close to the road so couldn’t let the dog off lead but no problem….

hard sitting on bed every time no settee

Disappointed

Ad as 1 bed property, but it's a studio, no settee, only bed, can't spend 3 days sitting on a bed, otherwise I would have stayed in a hotel. Basic but clean, had to book another property, 2 bedrooms, 2 sofas, and same price. Was disappointed, don't like to complain,was offered free nights in future, thanks but declined, would have preferred partial refund as had to pay double at end of 3 nights
