Always-Power Luxury De Waterkant Loft Retreat

The location was perfect, central to all amenities , walking distance to Long Street and 7 minutes from the waterfront. The property is also very secure with both physical and digital and biometric security access points The loft has great spatial design with all the creature comforts of home and wood class appliances

The main road downstairs will always provide the sound of traffic which you will gradually learn to block out

The staff were extremely helpful and cooperative and answered any questions I had and also allowed me to check in early. I was unwell and needed a doctor and the host arranged access for them with security which I was grateful for. We appreciated the speedy fixing of the automatic blinds as well as the many fans and Aircons available to stand the heat. We appreciated the parking bay too.

The flat wasn't as clean as it could have been and parts of it smelled like other people (shower, pillows, blanket). There was some water damage in the walls and ceiling and some of the decor was damaged and worn, but I reported these as soon as we entered. The area doesn't feel particularly safe, but it is a quick walk to Cape Quarter to stock up on groceries and grab lunch as well as being very central for quick Uber trips.

Safe and secure

Blinds didn’t close so hardly slept on the first night. Needs to be updated a bit like a decent bathroom mat.

It was clean and looked like the pictures.

No fixed air condition in the main bedroom. There is a mobile AC which has a thick pipe that needs to go out. You have to keep the window open for the pipe. Very noisy AC. If you do not run the AC you may not be able to sleep because of heat. If you run the AC noise is a going to disrupt your sleep. You have to drive 7 floors up to get to your parking. Imagine doing that everyday. Up and down! Parking space is so narrow and it is in the corner. It is literally impossible to park your car if the one next to your parking space parked his ‘bakkie’. No plugs in the bathroom. There is only one bathroom including the shower. If you lose your access card for some reason then you will be treated like a criminal at the reception. I guess this is the agent’s instruction. You are not allowed to come to the unit with family or friend unless it is booked for them in the original booking.

They have security available 24/7 to walk one through the process. The place has nice views and is within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, they have a Cafe downstairs where we had a quick breakfast before starting our day. The place ia realy cute, they have Netflix and Prime subscriptions which was nice, it felt like home away from home.

The apartment does not have a lot of amenities, it was a hot weekend and a pool would have been lovely. The apartment gets a lot of sunlight throughout the day, so it gets really hot but they do have a fan and aircon to assist. I think it would be perfect for a winter stay.

The apartment is fine, location is great. The Sercurity team was great and very accommodating.

The people who manage the property are beyond useless. From the check inn to the parking. They never answer calls and take the whole day you respond you your text.

The view and location were amazing. Apartment made you feel at home and was extremely comfy.

This was my second stay in this apartment and the sliding doors, and balcony railing (glass) are always dirty
