Beautiful design, 3 min walk to beach, nice staff.

Dog barking constantly late during the night and early in the morning for several hours, and a lot of construction around and on the property - so don’t expect a quiet experience.

Bakers cottage was a stop for us as we were making our way back to Colombo. Accommodation was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Family were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good with fruits from the garden and some local Sri Lankan dishes. The mattress was a little bit hard for us, but this is likely to be replaced as the family noted this. Location on Kosgoda beach meant a lovely sunset. Swimming options further up the beach or a short tuk tuk drive away. A few restaurants nearby, local and tourist and more options not to far away by tuk tuk

Breakfast could be better.

The room smelt of cement… it has a rough cement floor and it’s very nice but something must be done to remove the cement smell. Floor could even be hosed down not just mopped.

This cottage is a great find. The little house is perfect for a family or small group looking for somewhere comfortable with a bit of independence. Really well equipped, super attentive hosts and lovely decor. It feels safe, private and near to beach. A little drive from Bentota town but that’s a win for us.

We had dinner one night and it was excellent although rather pricy, so be sure to check on that. A few places to eat locally or perhaps a short tuk-tuk ride away.

Really amazing and cosy place, especially the hosts were very lovely and welcoming. The apartment was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. We ended up having breakfast and dinner there everyday because it was so delicious!
