Baker's cottage

The owners are very nice and friendly. They gave us great directions about the area. They always provided free transportation. There are many beautiful places to see in this area.

Magic! Owners the kindest people. Excellent Sri Lankan home cooking whenever we needed it- breakfast and dinner. Lovely location near good swimming beach. Hosts' local knowledge very successful for turtles on beach. Hostess proud to show us all the food and spice plants in their garden, used for our meals. Nothing too much trouble. Really pleasant and relaxing private sitting areas to enjoy birds and trees. A big favourite for us.

The villa is lovely and is set in a beautiful garden. The mother of the family was really kind, showing us around the garden and explaining the benefits of the plants and trees.

It felt like the whole stay was about trying to squeeze money out of us. Food portions were quite meagre and expensive but there is nowhere else to eat around here. I would also not recommend this as a town to visit. There was very little going on and lots of people trying to take you places that would give them a commission (also our experience with the father of the family). This was a disappointing end to our trip.

The place was beyond my expectations... I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely interior of the small house. It is so homey that one could live here forever. Everything is designed with such care. It is beyond the worth of money. I would recommend this place to all my friends who would love some peaceful serenity. The room even have a secret readers corner at the windowsill. It is like a dream coming true... Can cook my own meals because the house has all the utensils...

Nothing I didn't like... But If I'm to suggest a few improvements, 1. The cottage main door key is a bit difficult to turn 2. It's better if there is a tap or shower outside to have a wash after a sea bath 3. The rooms are full of mosquitoes despite the vaporizers. I wonder if keeping the windows closed all the time would help. 4. The cottage doesn't have tea bags or coffee/sugar sachets

The best accommodation I found during my trip to Sri Lanka. Very comfortable, beautiful environment, beautiful beach, very nice owners, explained the area to us very well. The breakfast is excellent, it is free and very rich and delicious. Every day a new recipe. If you come here, don't forget to have dinner here. It is very delicious and affordable.

A beautiful paradise very close to the sea. Very friendly owners. Very good explanation of the area. Very good architecture. Very beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. The most beautiful place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Will definitely come back.

Very quiet and clean

The bed was a bit uncomfortable No or only bad wifi in the room Mosquito net hangs in an unfavorable place Dinner is very good but Compared to the room price, dinner is relatively expensive. However, the area around Bentota and Koskoda is generally a bit more expensive. Therefore, the price is probably appropriate for the area :)
