Center Of Seoul

I stayed here for about 18 days, and although I was hesitant at first because there weren’t many reviews, it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The host is extremely kind and attentive, always present in the mornings for maintenance or cleaning. The room has a traditional Asian style, just like the rest of the apartment, which adds a special charm. It’s similar to a private room hostel, as the bathroom is shared with other rooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for eating prepared food or takeout, but you can’t really cook there. One thing I really appreciated was that the host provides personal hygiene items and bottled water in the room. Additionally, there’s a Samsung hot and cold water dispenser in the kitchen, which is perfect for refilling your water bottle or preparing ramyeon easily. One thing to consider is that the building is a bit old and has some sewing workshops, which means there might occasionally be materials on the stairs (this is not the host’s responsibility). Despite this, on my last day, the host kindly helped me carry my luggage downstairs, which I truly appreciated since I had a lot of it. The price is very affordable compared to other places in Seoul, and the location is excellent. It’s in the heart of Dongdaemun, close to several shopping malls, three metro stations, multiple bus stops, and the airport bus stop. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants, and a CU convenience store just around the corner.

As mentioned in other reviews, there’s only one bathroom, so it may require some coordination with other guests. However, I am happy to hear they’re building a new bathroom and making constant improvements. It’s important to be a respectful guest and maintain a good dynamic with others since it can feel a bit like a “roommate” situation. Keeping the space clean and organized is key to ensuring a great experience with everyone.

The location is great, at the center of Seoul near the bus stop and subway station. Owner is friendly and speaks english. Rooms are ok in terms of size and cleanliness. Big ref, an oven, microwave and stove. Smoking area in the rooftop.

Only one toilet for all guests.

Great place, so we booked it again. The host was super friendly and even let us check out the roof. Had the nice amenities we expected from last time. We even saw cute thank-you cards taped up by the entrance, giving it more of a hostel vibe. Also discovered that the nearby Dongmyo Market and Sindang Food Street were excellent.

The roof felt more like a storage area. Since there were a lot of others staying at the place at the same time as us, we sometimes had to plan carefully when to use the restroom or shower or do laundry, since there was one facility to do any of all three.

Super friendly, had slippers for us, fun to talk to, great location, really helpful guy, even sent photos about how to find the place and enter when we arrived.

One of four rooms connected to a single flat, so means sharing with others. Others were quiet though, so that was nice! It was like an Airbnb or hostel with private rooms.

The cheap room is super large, clean, has a very good smell of essential oil, has all the facilities, it's just sad that there is no big suitcase elevator to the 3rd and 4th floor, it's quite difficult and the bathhouse is shared, so you have to wait for everyone to use it. In short, it is still very good compared to the price, suitable for those who want to travel near the city center that is cheap, the boss is also very enthusiastic, supporting all matters very quickly.

I love the place! The location is great, and everything is within walking distance. We were lucky to get a very spacious room with. There is a big balcony in the apartment with and a good view of the city.

The property has a good location close to subway and bus stations, close to center of the city and main sightseeing spots, like DDP plaza, Naksan tower, Cheonggyechon stream The room is small but it was clean and had everything I needed: napkins, wet tissues. The host even provided a tooth brush and a tooth paste, as well as a new brick of soap personally for me. I appreciated that. The flat itself is new and cozy, it has a spacious kitchen area, a table, a cozy sofa. The bathroom is alright. It had washing machines, free laundry detergent as well as free body wash, shampoo, etc For the money I paid, I think the value is alright

The room (and the whole flat used for airbnb) are remodeled and are quite cozy. Everything feels quite new and convenient. However, the building itself is very old and uncomfortable. The flat is located on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. There is an only an extremely narrow and quite steep staircase, where two people can barely fit in, so carrying a large suitcase is really hard. I even fell when I was going down with my suitcase because of how steep and narrow the staircase is. Personally, if I knew about these details of the property, I would not book it bacause I am a young girl and caring a suitcase up and down a 4-stories building has never been a part of my vacation plan. It would we good if this was mentioned on the Guesthouse page. I suggest people with heavy suitcases or weak knees to look for another place. If you don’t have a lot of luggage-this is a good option for a cheap stay in the middle of the city. If you decide to book the property having a lot of luggage do not hope that anyone will help you with it. There are many small businesses on other floors of the building, and people there will just stare at you. One other aspect that surprised me is a cctv camera installed inside the apartment. I understand that cctvs are for safety, and I really appreciate the one located on the 4th floor, in front of the flat door, because I did not feel that safe in the building. However, a cctv inside the apartment, which records shared areas like kitchen and living room, looks like host’s attempt to watch over the residents. I guess it is host’s right to do that; but again, it would be good to have this information of the Guesthouse webpage. Of course, inside the room itself there was no camera (just to clarify).
