The hotel and room was smelly, dirty, rundown, dark Check in was rubbish as the receptionist was drunk and smelt of booze On site car park was not available as is stated There is a room where you can use a microwave this was dirty as were the dishes and cutlery

Staff very helpful and friendly, room comfortable and homely.

great greeting by the manager at the property, room had a nice view out toward the river, and was central.

sadly needed investment to bring the property up to standard, aircon didn't work, and lacked any facilities

There is limited accommodation in Wairoa. My room had an outlook over the river on the main street, very little traffic noise in the evening when I was there. There is wifi and nextflix which other places haven't had. The bathroom had a bath and overhead shower so able to relax at the end of the day. The Clyde Hotel would have to be an iconic piece of Wairoa history and inside I really like how it feels like stepping back in time with some home comforts. If you are expecting the Hilton this is not for you.
