Uptown Inn by Vantaggio - Limited Service Apart-Hotel

Convenient location, however it is near the freeway and doesn’t have great soundproofing. The window air conditioners seem to pass a lot of outside sound to the room. Use of hard surfaces in the rooms and hallways does nothing to deaden sound.

Perfect price, location, hotel was clean anf in great condition.

Cleanliness was an issue, as there were hairs in the shower and on the sheets.

The location is fantastic and it’s a good place to crash. Easiest check I’ve ever experienced. Air conditioning worked well. Probably won’t stay again though as a woman….. the bathroom was so small, no water pressure or shelf in the shower, refillable toiletries (gross,can’t trust), towels were small and scratchy, and the thinnest toilet paper in the world. The mattress was too soft but linens all seemed clean. There were forehead grease stains on the headboard, gave us a good laugh.

I had a short but great stay. The bed, including the pillows and sheets, were SO comfortable! I stayed on the East side but did not have any issues with the freeway noise. Light does get in around the curtains so maybe not the spot for those who need total darkness, but otherwise would definitely recommend. It was also nice to be close to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Love the place and location. I would prefer West side of the building instead of East side, which faces the freeway. Lots of noise.

Noise from traffic, sirens from fire station across the street, and from other guests including small children in the hallway at early hours. Location near Hillcrest is great. Price is very good.

Besides a rude encounter with another guest, the staff were super nice and helpful. Room was really nice but small. Bed was amazing! Only con is I wanted to check out at 0730, and needed a receipt for work but the front desk was not open. Overall great hotel great staff.

Treated my husband to a quick small vacation to San Diego to visit museums and the zoo. The area has a Whole Foods and other great restaurants and bars all in walking distance. Center of San Diego so commuting by car was fairly swift. Our room was clean and simple. They do note it is a limited service hotel, but there was a communal kitchen. it is a bit loud in the hallways from other guests or employees talking (walls are a bit thin). Yet we still got good sleep and everyone was quite nice. I would definitely come back to stay, and future go to!

So noisy! No insulation in the walls. Hearing conversations in the hallway. And even on the 6th floor, like trying to sleep on the busy street below. Bathroom door didn't close. Overall: meh
