Kambu Mara Camp

Comfortable Tents: The comfort tents felt luxurious in the wild, with super comfy beds, private shower and toilet, making the whole experience very comfortable. Wonderful Staff: Everyone was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Chef Nelson, Felix, Nelson, Peter, Simon, and Alan, who were all amazing. Safari Experience: Our guide, Alan, was knowledgeable and great with the kids. The safari itself exceeded expectations, offering unforgettable moments with the wildlife. Campfire Evenings: Gathering around the campfire in the evenings was a memorable experience. The sounds of hyenas and wildlife in the mornings made it feel even more magical. Warm Hospitality: The overall vibe of the camp made us feel at home and added a personal touch to the experience. Warm Layers: We ended up purchasing some lovely traditional blankets from Alan to stay warm in the chilly August mornings, which was a nice keepsake.

Bush Bathroom Breaks: Be prepared for bush bathroom breaks. While not a huge issue, it was something we wish we had known about beforehand. Some people were leaving tissue in the bushes, which was disappointing. Chilly August Mornings: August mornings can be quite cold, and we regretted not packing more warm layers for the mornings.

We had an excellent stay at the camp! Its location was perfect — only a quarter of an hour from the Sekenani Gate — making it convenient to visit the Masai Mara, where we had an unforgettable safari. We also visited a local village and a school and the camp was also a wonderful place to relax, with great food and a cosy campfire in the evenings. The people were incredibly friendly, which made both our teenage kids and us feel very welcome. We also arranged our jeep with guide/driver via this place (Kambu Campers), which we can absolutely recommend. Overall, a fantastic experience!”

I can’t say enough great things about this camp. The tents are perfect, the beds super comfy, giraffes walking by your tent! The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Thank you to Felix, Nelson, chef Nelson and above all Allan - who took us on two incredible game drives. I can’t say enough about how amazing Allan was. His knowledge of the Maasai Mara park, the animals, and his adventurous guiding ensured we saw everything!!!!!

Close to nature. Able to see giraffes and zebras. Delicious food cooked by Chef Nelson. Walking in bush guided by Saymoonh Sanish. I enjoyed my stay there. Thanks to the location and staff.

The road condution towards the camp.

Este campamento ofrece la oportunidad de hacer un Safari sin dejarte una fortuna en el alojamiento. Dentro de la tienda todo esta cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle, lo mejor son los exteriores donde puedes deleitarte con jirafas, cebras, ñus...el personal es un encanto y muy acogedores. Gracias a Nelson el cocinero por sus maravillosas comidas, tambien a Nelson el camarero, Simon el guía y Felix el recepcionista, hemos pasado 4 días inolvidables. Estoy deseando repetir. Gracias Kambu Mara!

Unique, stayed in luxury tents in quiet reserve surrounded by nature and some wildlife. The staff were amazing and host was careful to provide gluten free meals for my wife which we so appreciate. My youngest kid loved chef Nelson’s pancakes so much she kept requesting every morning. On our last day, chef Nelson prepared a to-go bag for her which she enjoyed the next morning. Loved this place!! The whole crew was excellent. They even found some wild honey for my mom to take home which she enjoyed.

Das Personal (Felix, Simon, Nelson, Alfred...) waren unglaublich herzlich, zuvorkommend und nett. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für die Masai Mara ist unschlagbar. Die Zelte sind sehr geräumig, das Bett richtig bequem und kuschlig. Auch das Essen was vorbeireitet wurde, war sehr gut. Der Game Drive mit Allan war darüber hinaus auch unglaublich (Löwen und Geparden beim Essen beobachten kann was). Der Aufenthalt im Kambu Mara Camp und die Masai Mara werden uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben.
