The Old Rectory

This is a charming Victorian home, updated with modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the supplies needed. It's quiet in spite of being in a busy area. The staff and residents were friendly and helpful (thanks Gladys and Rebecca!). Although I didn't meet Stephen in person, it was easy to communicate with him via text and he was very helpful in extending my stay for another day.

I always enjoy my stay . Straigtforwrd, clean & quiet.

On my first night the downstairs tv was blaring till 01:30am. This has not been an issue before, didnt help with sleep despite earplugs.

The room and the shared bathroom was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Tea/coffee making was brilliant. Also it's a quiet location with unrestricted on-street free parking at the location. The metro station is just across the road, which is really handy for getting around.

Check-in was very chaotic. The PIN to enter the property was not supplied and it was not possible to contact the owner directly because his phone went directly to voice mail. Plus he did not return my call. Also, the room number was not supplied. Thankfully, residents in the property was extremely helpful in sorting out these issues. Without them, I think I may have been sleeping in my car! In future, can the owner check that he supplies the correct PIN to the property and to state the room number and the correct PIN of the room if required, please?

Excellent location. Beautiful period property. Everything you could need in room. Very clean. Owner was so helpful anything needed was done straight away. Would definitely stay again.
