The bed was average

It was only for 1 night and I'm from jarrow so I was not expecting much . Sharing a bathroom with 4 rooms is so outdated these days , I only took this room for a half marathon run and then rest, up v early then left .never seen any staff. The furniture was propped up by books! The bed almost to flooring ( 10 inches off floor and clasping in one side . There was another room my son had and he says it was poorly cleaned ( toe nails on bedroom flooring)

The two positives I would mention is the location next to the metro station and the clean bathroom. There was also a kettle in the room.

The room we got that turned out to look completely different from the one shown in the photographs. We specifically booked it because it was pictured as having an additional sofa, it looked nice and cosy. Meanwhile, the room we were in, as opposed to the perfectly nice room with a sofa next door, was quite depressing, facing not a garden, but a bus stop, which was noisy. It also had drafty windows.

Lovely room. Really nicely decorated. The mini marshmallows for hot chocolate was a lovely thought

The hotel was fantastic. Great value, great location and just overall a delight. Super easy to get to with the Metro on its doorstep plus shops around the corner for anything you may have missed. I would definitely stay again. I was hoping to next year but it has been booked up already! That should show you how good it is.

Brilliant location in the centre of town. Quite very clean and comfortable.
