Stunning Home with STARGAZING ROOM Near Kielder Water

Clean, comfortable, cosy and great location.

The west facing kitchen is a little dark, especially on sunny evenings - if you ever think about remodelling, a large window or French doors would be lovely. But really just gilding the lily - the property was great!

Clean, comfortable, and the location was excellent. Modern and all the amenities which you need. Great communication with the owners.

Nothing to dislike. The only thing we did talk about was the use of the room above the kitchen. We felt that a lovely comfortable sofa and TV up there would make for a very cosy area to chill out as a group. This is by no means essential as obviously you have a sitting room. But, it was just a discussion we had about the use of the space.

The house was well equipped beds were very comfortable and duvets were lovely. Place was very clean and bathrooms lovely . TV in bedroom was great and location was good with lovely villages close by.

There was rubbish outside of the back of the house which we had to be careful with the dogs as there were bits of pipe and cabling lying about, could be dangerous with small children. The outside are would benefit from getting rid of the gravel in the seating area and replacing with paving and an area of grass. Also some loungers would enhance the outside experience

Bedroom layout brilliant for two couples and super comfy beds. A lovely sociable lounge area. Great local shops in Bellingham - butcher, bakery and greengrocers.

Only minor - more wine glasses and a block of sharp knives would be good.

We were able to get into the property early which was very helpful. It us a beautiful area and great location. Fabulous spacious living areas and we particularly enjoyed the upstairs stargazing room/playroom. Grandparents enjoyed having the ensuite room downstairs, which was very quiet, whilst the family stayed in the upstairs bedrooms. Owners very responsive when there was an issue with the hot water and it was resolved quickly.

Whilst not much can be done about this due to situation of cottage at top of slope, we would have preferred to be able to park 2 cars at door. A large pan (eg for cooking pasta for 6) and bread knife would have been handy too.
