"Beautiful part of the world with a lovely cottage to stay in."

The location is excellent for exploring Kielder. The house was very well equipped, lovely comfy beds, lots of space for a family. The stargazing room is a great idea, but we got cloudy weather during our stay. The kitchen has everything you need and more, the welcome basket was a nice touch. The owners email detailing things to do and places to eat was fantastic, it really helped us plan days and the pub recommendations were spot on. This level of detail is brilliant when staying in an area you don't know.

The whole place was lovely, nothing to dislike. However the previous guests thought that the check out time didn't apply to them and this made the cleaners late getting the house ready for our stay. So in answer to the question what didn't you like? Entitled people.

Lovely house with great facilities. Really appreciated the bottle of milk and fizz on arrival. Outside tables were a fabulous addition. Stargazing room was great and very cosy just a shame it was so cloudy for our stay.

The weather! Unfortunately, no one can help that! It also would have been nice to have an outside bin.

"A welcoming home in the wilds of Northumberland"

The host had been very thoughtful in providing the little extras that made us and our dog feel so welcome, including milk in the fridge, wine and chocolates for us and a dog bed and bowl. Andrew sent us very detailed and informative instructions about the home and area which were very useful indeed. Everywhere in the house was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. We particularly appreciated the various seating areas, including tables several tables on the patio areas. The location is beautiful, fairly remote and silent, perfect for wildlife and star-spotters!

To make things perfect, it would be ideal if there was a wide verge or footpath alongside the road however, this is real rural Northumberland!
