Majestic Beach Resort II by Resort Collection

View is beautiful, pool was chilly but its October, elevators had only 1 working at each end of tower 1 but they had someone fix it within 24 hours which was totally reasonable and they were on top of it. Property was very clean and well maintained. Walkable to get breakfast at Waffle House. About a 15 minute walk to Pineapple Willy’s either from the beach or 20 minute on sidewalks . Also, walkable to get to RockIt Lanes, Alvin's Island, Surf Style and Shipwreck LTD Store. Which is nice during busy time of the year when traffic is super busy.

The unit was full of dust and smells like it's got painting job done few days before our check-in day. I also found a roach that was a big as my thumb.

Nice place to stay

Trip was over all enjoyable. Condo could use some freshing up but clean and comfortable. Noise from road and elevators was annoying at night.

I wasnt pleased with my room at all. It was NOTHING like pictures that was advertised. It was supposed to sleep 6 & we could only comfortably sleep 4. The love seat was supposed to be a pull out couch & it wasn't. The property didnt care that the room wasnt what I was supposed to have & wouldn't even compensate me or move us rooms. I am very disappointed with how they handle their business. They dont care about the customers at all. But yet called and wanted a ceedit card for incidentals. The stove was broken. Only 2 burners worked. I will never book with them again.

Reservation was great, check in was great. We checked in Friday Oct 27th around 5 pm my family and I. It's my birthday weekend. We get to the unit and unpack and leave, we are out until around 11 pm when we come in for the night. My wife and I head to bed and look in the master closet for extra pillows I find some that appear to be blood stained so I set them out not to be used. When we wake on Saturday I start noticing other bad items. The faucet in the master bath jetted tub was broken. The hot water knob was completely off and the cold water knob was froze up like it was glued on. This was ok also as there was a shower in the bath that we used. After these 2 major complaints to myself of the room I started noticing other bad signs. A cabinet door in the kitchen has a broke hinge and the vinyl wrap was coming off. also the chair in the living room and the slide curtain to the balcony was stained real bad. Finally on Sunday morning at 9 am I called about all the problems, keep in mind we spent very little time in the unit, other than sleeping and showering. They told me that someone would be there that day to fix everything. (NO ONE EVER SHOWED) I called Monday after check out they told me they would get a report from property management about compensating me for their neglect. They never called back. I had to call twice this morning Tues. 31st just to be told I would not be compensated because I waited until Sunday morning to report all the neglect of the unit.

Overall a good stay and clean. Good location to things around area. Liked multiple pool options but the outdoor pools’ water was really cold even after being in the sun all day. Minor negatives: not told had 2 different doors with 2 different codes so had to figure out how to even get in on my own. Entry way lightbulb was out so also made getting into room difficult. Elevators seemed to have a few issues. Refrigerator made an annoying random noise. Shower curtain not wide enough to cover to both sides and water would get in floor so had to put 2 towels down.
