The Slow House Apartments, Llandefalle

The location is outstanding, it's beautiful, peaceful and views from inside the accommodation across to the Black Mountains are glorious.

First of all , this place is absolutely AMAZING. We booked it for 2 months, and it was the best 2 months we ever had (holiday-wise). It was just perfect. - Amazing and friendly hosts (who shared with us some of their produce (fruit and veg from their garden) - A very brilliant cat (owned by the hosts), who used to visit us every day, cheering us up (very very friendly ! ) - Nice big living room + kitchen area - very good reliable WiFi (I had to do some remote work and it was perfect) - Fully fitted kitchen with an oven, microwave, fridge (with a small freezer) and a dishwasher - Nice and big bedroom - the hosts even brought a spare wooden drawer chest, they had at their place, to make it easier for us, to keep our clothes (other than that there was a coat rack with hangers in the bedroom) - Big bathroom (hairdryer included), with amazing water pressure, and very nice a soft water (no limescale whatsoever! During the two months, we did not see any limescale build up in the kettle, which we used daily!) - The views (onto Black Mountains and Mynydd Troed ) !!! We stayed in the ground floor apartment, and it has a big balcony type window/doors, that slides open, and you can walk out on a patio and sit there enjoying the fresh air and the breath taking, dramatic views (especially when weather was changing , you would see a lot of intricate cloud patterns over the mountains) - The ground floor apartment was also pleasantly cool during the hot summer days, and even on the hottest days, when it was about 30C outside, it stayed several degrees cooler, mostly thanks to not having any big windows on the South side! It also has floor heating, so it also stayed comfortably warm on the cooler days, when it was raining, and miserable outside. - Easy to find location, close to Brecon town, Talgarth (you have to visit the bakery and local Deli/Butcher shop!), and a short drive from amazing Elan Valley ! - The apartment has a very good cordless vacuum cleaner

- While the place was very quiet most of the time, on one or two occasion we did get disturbed by the other guests staying in the apartment above us. But thankfully 99% of guests staying there were very mindful and considerate, and we hardly ever noticed them !

Wow!! Amazing apartment with stunning views. You couldn't ask for more. The apartment was finished to a high standard, very comfortable, clean, fresh, peaceful and relaxing. There is everything you need and more. Outdoor space was beautiful with seating for your morning coffee or your evening prosecco!! Everything was well thought out. What a treat!! Would definitely go again and hope to book in the very near future.

We recently stayed at this beautiful apartment and had a fantastic experience. The views were absolutely stunning, and the interior was tastefully designed and very well-maintained. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning views, good host. In the countryside. Very spacious apartment. It was great to have tea/coffee and milk on arrival as we were only staying for one night. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Fantastic walks near by. Penyfan is the biggest. Great shopping in Brecon 12 mins away and pub 4 mins away or 30 min walk, well, depending on your walking speed 😀

Eco house so couldn't open the windows apart from the bedroom. Although a fan was provided. I think blinds on the main window would be a good idea to keep out the glare from the sun. Bed could do with a generous mattress topper as wasn't comfortable for us, but that's a personal choice. I'd bring my own next time if staying longer. It was a lovely stay overall.

Quite, except for the working farm machinery. (In a good way). Lots of "green" all around. Herb garden, which you can use. Always hot water. Nice shower with good water pressure at the shower head. New, soft, and pleasant smelling towels Kitchen well equipped. With a dishwasher. The oven heats up really quickly (good when you're hungry). The microwave is also really good, in heating food. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Wonderful and huge sitting/dining room window with views in almost all (180°) directions.

We were on the first floor so we had to climb the stairs with luggage. There is not enough ventilation, no opening window in the bathroom. The only opening window in the bedroom. The sitting room/dining area has a wonderful huge window (with unending views), but that can overheat the apartment. (Needs overhead ceiling fans!). There is not enough artificial light in the kitchen/dining area. The bathroom shower has no door, and water can splash's onto the parquet flooring. It can make it a little bit slippery! The sitting room area has a TV (with lots of TV channels), but if it's there, it needs to be bigger! The bedroom is basic with only a hanging rail for clothing. There are no clothes washing facilities at the apartment (if needed), but in Brecon, there is a laundry with same day return laundry.

The location was simply spectacular, what a view . The property had everything you need for your stay and I’ll definitely be back

We LOVED our stay at The Slow House! We feel that the space was exceptional, bright, airy yet welcoming and homely. The kitchen was really well equipped, i.e., with olive oil and milk which can soon add up if purchasing yourself just for an evening or two. The living space comes with a tv for entertainment and also a booklet explaining about local restaurants/attractions/things to do which was most welcome. The view we had was sensational. The bedroom was a good size with a very comfy bed. Our hosts were super attentive and they are building something amazing in this space, within the mountain you have a grassland meadow and pond which has been put in to enhance nature. I so loved the soft rustling of the meadow in the morning. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
