Entire guest suite with gated property

Comfort, clean & location. But more importantly Pete was a warm & friendly landlord and always reachable for any queries and needs.

We had a great stay at the Blundson property. It is located close to the highway exit and was very cozy for the three of us, with two in the bedroom and one on the large sofa bed. We arrived after dark and missed the chance to enjoy the beautiful glass area behind the property. The host greeted us when we arrived and was very lovely. They also checked in to make sure we were fine since we arrived later than expected, and they shared helpful suggestions on where to shop nearby. We used this place as our base for exploring the Cotswolds, especially for visiting Castle Combe early in the morning to avoid the crowds. It is about 40 minutes away, which worked perfectly for us considering the affordable price. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Pete was a great host, the annex was clean and tidy, perfect for a short stay. Thank you again, and all the best.

Quiet, everything worked, gated property, friendly host.

The carpet needs to be deep cleaned. It was difficult to find. Google maps will locate it if you use the actual address and not the postal code.

Just a couple of minor observations. Toilet seat didn't stay up. A blind for privacy on the back door would have been nice.

Pete the host is very friendly and helpful, set up chairs and BBQ in the garden so we could cook our dinner, we came prepared with coals, tools and food! He said if we needed anything else to just knock. You need to remember this is an annexe to their family home and Pete is graciously allowing you to share their conservatory and garden, you are not booking a hotel! It served our needs of having a stop-over on our long journey. There is one bedroom, one bathroom, small living area with kitchenette (has fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle but NOT a cooker, so if you are not eating out think about what you will need to bring. I would not want to stay for a week due to this but met our needs well. May book again if we are doing the same route. Thanks Pete :)

Probably better suited to a couple rather than 4 unless its a couple of kids. The bed in the bedroom is VERY soft and the sofa bed in the living room is VERY firm. The sofa bed can only be accessed from one side so if you both need to get up in the night to use the loo this could be awkward. It was quite heavy to pull out and up but Pete did offer to help with this. The kitchen area could have been improved with a bread knife, a small sharp knife and a chopping board and bigger bowls - they were a bit small for cereal. Its basic but I was expecting this.
