JOIVY Cozy Apt near Edinburgh Castle

Excelente localização mesmo junto ao Castelo, ótima para visitar Old Town. Muito sossegado. Excelente vista para o castelo pelas janelas do lado poente, que permitiu assistir ao espetáculo de luzes e projeções multimédia nas paredes do Castelo. Boa paisagem sobre a cidade pelas janelas do lado Sul. Boa comunicação do proprietário que forneceu indicações precisas e claras relativas ao check-in e check-out.

Os 123 degraus até ao apartamento no quarto andar, mas isso já estávamos à espera porque está na descrição do apartamento. As áreas comuns do prédio, entrada, hall e escadaria encontram-se algo degradadas, o que contrasta com o interior do apartamento que está em bom estado de conservação. O deficiente isolamento das janelas. Durante a nossa estadia houve dias de vento forte que causou entrada de ar frio pelas frestas das janelas e barulho quer o zumbido pelas frestas, quer as rajadas no exterior do edifício.Esta situação leva ao desperdício de energia com o aquecimento e causa incómodos por causa do barulho do vento, sobretudo à noite.

It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated and perfectly situated

Those stairs are not for the weak.

Great location, was exactly as shown. The stairs were a lot, but we knew that before booking. Host was good and responded quickly.

It was a bit noisy with the club close by and wind whistling through the windows, but we would stay here again.

The location couldn’t be bettered

It was comfy and sufficiently clean but there was some mold at the ceiling level in the bathroom

Location, space

Very dusty in places, food left in cupboard from previous guests. VERY mouldy shower, the 103 stairs (😉)

It is in the city center, easy to access attractions, well equipped.

Difficult access to the top floor without an elevator, dirty hallway and stairs, cold in one of the bedrooms, moldy bathroom without ventilation, no cleaning and no changing of towels.

Amazing location, stunning views. I don't think you could stay anywhere closer to the castle.

It was fine for us but it is important to know that this apartment is on the top floor of the building (no lift). Not suitable for those who will have difficulty climbing five flights of stairs (from the street) or if you have lots of luggage. It's worth it for the view though! Oh one other thing: the address 16/10 Johnston Terrace means Apartment 10, 16 Johnstone Terrace. Stumped this Aussie for just a minute...
