Location and space, superb

WiFi not great but if that’s all I can fault!

Lovely and spacious. Well equipped kitchen. Just lacking a microwave! Lovely and warm and a hot powerful Shower!

Our booking was cancelled on check in day, by the owner

It was very late notice We were left stranded in freezing, wet conditions Had to find accomm elsewhere at 6pm

Warm clean spacious. Lovely accommodation.

The mattress was a lot to be desired.

An extra armchair would have been good, thank you. The TV was a bit dodgy, but it worked well once I wiggled the aerial (on advice from the host, thank you.

It had free parking and initial impressions as you walk in are good, everything looked very nice.

The sink in the shower room was blocked and there were not enough kitchen utensils. No peeler, chopping board, wooden spoon or spatula. We had chosen the apartment because we wanted to cook there. I texted the owner about these things and she replied and told us they would be sorted out the following day. On the first evening the sink was not good and I managed to unblock it. I could not believe the hair trapped in the plug hole. I communicated this to the owner and she seemed irritated that I had done it. We couldn’t use the basin properly but sadly the owner was offended by my communication of things.

Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location.
