Cozy Bedroom in Birmingham City Centre

Very close to station and where we needed to be.

Very noisy (that’s to be expected by location) bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs and one pillow which was so flat.

Great location for train station. Host messaged with information to enter accommodation including photos.

Misleading ad, this is a shared property where the host lives with her partner. She told me this after I’d booked and I had no way of getting my money back. They don’t provide any parking so taxi had to stop two traffic lights away for me to drag my belongings to the scaffolding clad building. Wrong code was provided to get in and security had to help. Lock on bedroom door does not lock. Some kind of cameras are set up facing the shared bathroom and hallway. Bed slats broken, host claimed they had a bed ready to replace but when I next left to go uni they nailed the broken slats down again. Bathroom has damp and silverfish. Bedroom window is hard to open with scaffolding obstructing it.

The host was attentive when messaging

Very noisy, in a block of flats with filthy communal areas. The room had missing vertical blinds, bathroom and kitchen were shared and dirty. I couldn’t stay there and booked into a chain hotel.

Access, dirty corridors, bed uncomfortable & broken & lock on bedroom door loose. Window drapes missing. If I had my tools, I would have repaired them within an hour🤔

Confusing instructions on how to find the place and get in. Dirty room. Dirty sheets. Blocked sink. Almost no kitchen equipment, not even a cup or mug, so although the kitchen was available, it could not be used. Although it was cheap, it still seemed expensive given the problems.

Almost next to the station. The owner's explanation was clear and helpful.

You need WhatsApp to communicate. Some TLC is required to make it better. The warm water of the shower lasted five minutes. The toilet seat is easy to repair.
