Camping Pods Silver Sands Holiday Park

We had a fantastic stay at the camping pods. Lots to do. Staff all very friendly especially Stacey who covered the bar and restaurant was an absolute superstar.

The pod was ideally for myself, partner & dog It was clean and more spacious than I expected. It was warm & cosy in the pods and the bed was comfy. The toilet blocks were modern although would be good to see that the cleaning was kept on top off in the toilets.

Maybe a wee kitchen bit and/or smaller table

How peaceful and spacious it was

Loved the location. Beautiful. Access to the beach was wonderful. Having the shop, and restaurant on site was great too.

No night warden for check in when we arrived. We had to phone him and wait for him to return to site. Our pod had no electricity and we were not warned of this or offered any compensation. We were told there was a lamp but on arrival at the pod the lamp wasnt there. Again we had to phone the warden and they had to go and find one. Not great being left in a dark pod. Also, the key to the pod had been locked inside the property leaving us with no access. We called the night warden but he also didn't have a key so the only access option apparently was to send my daughter through the open window. We were told that an electrician would be along the next morning to fix our electricity but, unsurprisingly, this didn't happen. It's a shame because the pod looked fab when we eventually got a lamp and the location was ideal. Just a bit of a farce and no apology or compensation offered either.

No clear or written process of how to book the pool so unfortunately we didn’t manage to go. This was the only facility we had planned to use.
