Comfortable, well appointed and had all I needed.

The bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom was clean.

The kitchen area was dirty. Cigarettes and tobacco were left in cupboard from a previous guest, stains on oven door handle. No full curtain or blind in the bathroom, just half a net curtain. Bathroom is next to the side door of the property with people coming and going all the time and overlooked by other properties. The toaster did not work, I had to swap it with one from another room. There were lots of roadworks in St Bees which made it difficult to drive to and from the property. It would have been helpful to know this prior to arrival.

The heating system can be a bit better.

We loved the apartment. Two lovely double bedrooms with really comfortable beds and two separate shower rooms that were immaculate. Loved waking to see the beautiful view every morning. Although it's near the really cute train station there wasn't any annoyance from the trains just an occasional alert in the day that the crossing was shutting. We took the train one day from St Bees down the coast which was lovely, it goes right next to the sea in parts and there is stunning mountain scenery the other side. It was a lovely little beach with a very popular bakehouse near the beach. Great base for exploring the lake district particularly the less busy west side. Keswick is a very pretty little town if you need anything but we also used the Tesco in Whitehaven after a stroll around the harbour. A stroll around the the village was lovely too with some beautiful buildings including the school and church. All in all it was a lovely restful break and we would definitely return. The host was also incredibly helpful and obviously takes pride in looking after the apartments. For those wanting a little entertainment there was also a little gym and a couple of pool tables in the building. Keep doing what you're doing xx

If I had to pick on anything I would have liked some hanging space even if it was a over door hanger.
