I was supposed to get the key from a locked box but the key was missing from the box so I had to ring the host. He told me to use the lock box at the side entrance. Fortunately for me the side entrance key was in the box. It might be an idea to check the locked boxes on a regular basis to ensure the front door keys are inside. If I had not been able to contact the host on my arrival I would have been completely stranded in an unfamiliar place.

I didn't like the fact that a maid/cleaner came into my apartment unannounced and started wittering on about laundry?! I had to tell her she was in the wrong flat. But is was a scary moment with implications for safety and security, as I was on my own. The kitchen area need better lighting.

The apartment was really lovely, very clean and spacious with great views across towards the sea. The location was excellent for us as we were visiting family in St Bees. The facilities were great with a well equipped kitchen and a clean, roomy bathroom as well as an ensuite in one of the bedrooms. Lewis was a helpful and responsive host.
