Actually, I don't want to be too negative. I like the place. I have stayed with you 2-4 times over the years.. The price is affordable. The ambience is good and generally good natured and friendly. You can feel comfortable in a place that is not overly commercial and flashy. That appeals to an old timer like me. It is very secure. I have just stayed with you for 3 nights. These are my issues: 1. While there was hot water in the basin, there was only cold for the shower. I told the maid and reception but it stayed the same. 2. The room, which I booked online, was advertised as having hi-speed internet. At least half of the time I couldn't even connect. I got a safaricom sim card with data and had perfect coverage with my d'link. But that was only on my third day. 3. Socket under the desk loose and possibly dangerous. Finally, the pillows on the bed are rock hard. Put me in mind of Jacob having a stone for a pillow! Genesis 28:10-22. I will stay with you again (if you'll have me!) But I will write beforehand asking to be sure to get hot water for a shower and to show some mercy in the pillow department. I am glad to have the opportunity to offer some feedback ana kwa ana. I wouldn't want to say anything negative on something like Trip Advisor. On the contrary, I would very much like, after my next visit, to send a very positive review. Have you considered upgrading some of your rooms? Better mosquito nets, better desks and bedside tables with lamps. I am an owner/manager of a small, similar sized 90 year old country hotel in TZ. I appreciate the cost issues involved in upgrading. I think in Nairobi you have an assured market. Moderate investment in upgrading, section by section, would pay off, I think. Somewhat higher prices for better rooms would be appropriate. You have a really important place, wonderful location, and I wish you all the best.
