Big Family Holiday Home

The location and size was good.

Sofa was broken. Not enough chairs at the dining room table. No choice of pillows. No bedside lights downstairs. Flashing lights all night upstairs from the neighbours.

The location was handy to the rugby league fields and the house itself is nice and spacious, great for a big family or group of friends.

We had a real estate agent and his clients walking around the property when we were home without even knocking on the door to ask if it was ok. Our daughter was naked in the room downstairs after her shower so it was a huge invasion of privacy! There were a lot of ants and the lawns looked like they hadn't been mowed all winter. Plus the 2 couches desperately need to be replaced with one of them being broken so the back doesn't stay up unless against the wall and its like there is no sponge in them as all you can feel is springs.

Quite a few damaged things ie taps, door handles bit didnt affect stay. Couches were very uncomfortable and damaged. Would recommend new ones.

House 7 was nice and warm, and both houses had comfortable beds, and rooms were clean.

House 4: 1. House smelt like curry, oven smelt very fishy (overwhelmingly bad we had to air the house out) 2. Incinerator doesn't work 3. Kitchen cupboard door broken 4. No dish cloth, lack of kitchenware for the size of house 5. Couches have no cushioning and springs poking out 6. Electrical outlet missing a safety cover 7. Washing machine doesn't work 8. Bedside table broken 9. Door handles and / or locks not working 10. No rubbish bins outside for rubbish 11. 2 slice toaster for such a big house 12. People parked in our park outside the house 13. Step lights don't work 14. There was no light in the walk-in wardrobe 15. Ant infestation 16. No dish rack 17. No spare toilet paper 18. 1 towel each for a week? 19. Had to ask a neighbor for a pot because there were only 2. 20. No grater which we had to buy House 7: 1. Broken kitchen tap 2. No chopping board 3. Broken door handles and locks 4. Same issues around towels and kitchen utensils 5. Broken toilet seat. 6. Couches were broken and wires sticking out. 7. Cobwebs in the kitchen

The property it self is really nice and could accomodate to the numbers that we had. It was also in a good location that was close to our extended family/stores so we didn’t have to travel far.

The couches were very uncomfortable and sunk which wasn’t good for my elderly mother. We had to add pillows for her not to sink into the chair. There wasnt any proper bedding/blanket, just a sheet which was hard due to the weekend we were there it was very cold. We also had no hot water during the final night of our stay as the gas tank had run out, somebody replaced it but didn’t switch it on etc so had to wait for someone to come and have a look after 10pm before we could all shower.. there was 9 of us.

Location was quite handy to the motorway a main roads and the beds were reasonably comfortable.

The couches were damaged, including two doors to the bathrooms and two toilet seats. The gas bottle had run out after the first night and getting the property manager/owner to have it sorted quickly was a bit of a battle. The manager/owner said it would take a few hours to which I responded wasn’t good enough. When I suggested a partial refund for the inconvenience, he got a bit aggressive with me and abruptly ended the call. I sent a couple of firm text messages (no swear words or threats) and the issue was resolved within the hour. Definitely not a place if you have more than one vehicle. We were lucky that the opposite house/apartment was vacant.
