The White Heather Hotel

Breakfast was brilliant. Choice of cereals, tea, coffee and toast. The full English was cooked to order with quality ingredients.

I had a full English breakfast every morning which was superb! Location is superb for what I wanted - birdwatching in the several nature reserves around the hotel - half way between the Solway and the Lake District for walks.

Warm welcome and excellent service from owner (only 4x guest rooms means personal service). Very clean & comfortable room with ensuite having a large shower cubicle (which really appreciated as a big guy). Breakfast was very good and excellent value for money.

Only thing (and I'm sat trying to think of something) would be the bathroom window was clear glazed instead of frosted which meant needed curtains pulled to not shock anyone who might glance up lol. Really not a big thing just unusual and did mean a view of the mountains from the throne

We opted for the full english and it did not disappoint. The duty manager (David maybe?) could not do enough for us to ensure we had everything we needed and to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Can't think of anything that would have made our stay better.

I loved the energy of the staff, helped me when I forgot some items and he was a great company to talk to. I usually am quiet but was very comfortable and a bit chatty during my stay. Had a good rest too, this stemmed from the fact that the place was clean.
