Nothing bad from start to finish and felt unsafe as there was an electric problem and you ahd to mess around with the gas meter to get any hot water and heating in the pitch black

I received a message around 5pm to say the lounge light was playing up and very confusing instructions on how to work the heating. On arrival switched on the light as you would do in the pitch black and the whole property was in darkness,.freezing cold and no hot water. Rnag the owner who advised she told me not to turn the light on as there was a fault and advised the complicated instructions of how to get the boiler back know which involved messing around with the gas meter which can't be normal at all!!! This property should not be let out at all until a full gas and elextric inspection.are carried out, its unsafe which the owner argued with me about and insisted it was a minor fault. If that's the case why wouldn't it be fixed when as she insisted the electrician had checked it earlier in.the day and as for the gas situation, I note other people have commented on this also

Bedrooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The decor in the living room and bedrooms was pleasant (although frame of mirror in bedroom was broken). The shower was good, once the hot water was on.(See below)

It was a very rough area, in fact at 3am the house next door had its front window smashed and someone broke in, with screaming and arguments following. The bathroom (which had no mirror) was on the ground floor, down the very steep stairs, which were difficult to negotiate at night. This was not made clear on the website, and had we known we would not have booked it. The kitchen was not "fully equipped". There was one saucepan and one burnt frying pan. There were four place settings (minus one knife), but no further crockery or cutlery. There were only two kitchen chairs, in a house for three people. We decided not to use the kitchen. There was no garden, as claimed, just a tiny, scruffy back yard, mostly occupied by dustbins. On arrival there was no hot water. We had to phone the landlord, and follow his complicated verbal instructions, which did not work. Eventually we discovered that the gas had been turned off, and when we turned it back on the problem was solved. But this should not have happened, it should have been checked before we arrived. Not acceptable. The description on the website was misleading.

The double bed was comfy.

There was a large crack in the ceiling of the kitchen. There was no mirror in the bathroom and the hot tap moved when you used it. The mirror in the main bedroom is too low. For value for money it's okay but I wouldnt have felt comfortable to stay in this property as a lone female.

Nothing Really

It was cold and airy not cosy at all, spiders everywhere the house obviously hasn’t been tended to in ages the plates and the cutlery was dirty and not cleaned properly. The neighbours so rude aswell. there isnt any views aswell all you have is a back alley in the back garden you actually have to walk round the corner to see the views which isn’t advertised as such. double bed upstairs was so uncomfortable same for the single bed, the bedding wasn’t changed and smelled funny, one side of the pillow smelt nice indicating that it had been sprayed on one side instead of properly cleaned. I have OCD so i know when something isn’t clean. tried using the washing machine aswell and it was blocked up and didnt drain any water at all. really disappointed expected more
