Lovely grounds and pool. Decent sized room

Bed was quite short - my husbands legs went over end of bed There had been a wedding the day before and all the glasses were still piled up and left all day/night. All the staff seemed to have the day off when we arrived. Bar and Restaurant were closed - we did know about the restaurant as they had informed us and booked us a table at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge (which was lovely) but didn't realise the bar would also be shut so couldn't get any drinks. We also had no glasses in our rooms to have our own drinks and had to go searching for glasses at the wedding venue. My personal view is that establishments should be able to cater for the wedding AND provide staffing, facilities for new guests arriving the following day. We are paying guests and should not get a sub standard experience because of someone else's event the day before Breakfast was average and of lower quality than all the other places we stayed at during our 3 weeks in South Africa

It was our second stay at this lovely place and we enjoyed it again. The accommodations are situated amidst a nicely landscaped garden and are complemented by restaurant, bar, wedding chapel and event facilities. The spacious rooms with heritage interior created an invitingly atmosphere and the friendly staff contributed to an overall very pleasant stay.

Territory of lodge is large and beautiful.

It was offered a dinner from lodge, in meal plan per person was included bread and ostrich patt, ostrich steak, salad and ice cream, after a long trip we decided to take it, but how we was surprised that dinner price was per person, and the dish is one for everyone, for example just small plate of salad for four persons, it’s really strange for me, same with ice cream. I thing it’s overpriced offer from hotel side.

Staff was amazing! Location is stunning. The pictures don't do the hotel justice, because in real life it is 10x better than in the photos. The food was increíble! Go for the ostrich steak :)
