Superb location - literally on the doorstep of the high street which is a short walk from Windsor Castle

Good location - not on main street, so quiet. Spacious apartment & very clean. Good kitchen set up. Good water pressure in shower & bathroom sink. Host was quick to respond to our few questions.

A few hooks in the bathroom would be nice. There were not any major issues as far as we are concerned.

Location and all facilities

Comfortable, generally very clean, warm, simply and tastefully furnished. Well-located within walking distance of the town centre, train stations, park, riverside, castle. Front room overlooks a street, but the building is in a courtyard off the high street, and the bedroom is on the courtyard side. We did not notice much noise from the road when in the sitting room, if there was some it was very low-level and did not disturb us. From the bedroom, the only noise was people occasionally going up or down the metal staircase just outside, but nothing dramatic and there is no traffic noise at all from the bedroom. Packs provided with dishwasher tablets, cloths, scouring pads, washing machine tablets, bin bags - a great idea. Plenty of toilet rolls and kitchen roll provided. Soap and shower gel also provided in the bathroom.

Although the apartment was generally very clean, there were a couple of oversights. The ovenware had not been thoroughly cleaned, so we had to clean it before use. Also certain items in the cupboards, such as mugs, had not been correctly cleaned. We discovered during the stay that they came out of the dishwasher this way. The dishwasher may need some maintenance. There were three of us and we felt that there was not adequate cutlery, glasses, mugs or crockery. There are just four or sometimes five of each item. We had to wash up a lot as a result. The cooking utensils, hob, oven and ovenware are great, but there are only two saucepans, neither of which was large enough to cook for three, and there is only a small omelette pan, with no large frying pan or wok for cooking properly for three people. We got around it and it did not spoil our stay, but this was a little disappointing and did make shopping and preparing meals more of a challenge than it should have been. It’s a shame, as the kitchen is otherwise very modern and well equipped. There were also some open items from previous guests left in the kitchen cupboard and in a drawer in the bedroom. Not a major issue, but it added to the impression that there had been a few oversights with the otherwise thorough cleaning. There was some noise sometimes from people walking around or cleaning upstairs. This did not bother us overly, however. Finally, it would be a good idea to leave instructions for disposing of glass, or to provide a bin for glass. We did not know what to do with our empty bottles, so had to leave them in the kitchen and hope this was OK.

Location was great a couple of minutes walk you was in the Main Street with plenty of shops and cafes/restaurants and takeaways. We stayed to visit Lapland UK which was a short taxi ride away and Heathrow was only 25 mins away in a taxi so location was perfect for our stay.

We felt the bed was a little too hard for us but that’s was our personal preference.

The location was amazing, everything I needed and I loved the little touches such as coffee and tea!
