Tsubes Petrified Forest Tented Camp

Wir haben leider nur eine Nacht auf der Campsite verbracht. Wären wir ein paar Stunden später abgereist hätten wir die angebotene Tour zu den Elefanten gerne genommen. Das Essen, Dinner und Frühstück waren lecker und die Portionen ausreichend. Das Zelt war ausreichend eingerichtet und das Bett nicht zu hart oder zu weich.

The location was absolutely beautiful! One of the bathrooms inside the rocks was also stunning. The meal provided was decent, although very expensive for what it was.

The tents were falling apart, the beds broken, the bedding mismatched. The place is under a transfer of ownership/ management. The new owner has a good vision to improve, which will certainly offer a more comfortable stay in the future.

Great location and very rustic in tents. Wonderful surroundings. Nice to have your own braai. The new owner is very interesting to chat to and has great plans to redevelop the place. It will be nice to go there again in 12-24 months and see how it has changed.

Previous owners fell behind in maintaining the place, but I am very positive about the new owner.

The setting was absolutely stunning and we had the whole place to ourselves as we were there out of season. The tents were lovely and the showers were hot.

We felt we were causing an inconvenience being there as it was out of season. The water wasn’t turned on until the evening.

Location was nice

No water at tent and hotwaterdonkey dit not work.Ugly dovet cover that does not fit the beautifull serroundings.

The location of this camp site was stunning, beautiful views and a nice rock to walk up for a nice sunset. Shower was nice with good pressure, do note though hot water was only availble after 6pm when someone lit a fire to heat the water. Would highly recommend if you're coming with you're own camping and cooking set up. Hosts were flexible with a late change when we wanted to change from 2 nights to 1 as our plans had changed. You can prearrange meals or bring your BBQ stuff.

Only cash payment accepted and closest atm almost an hour away. There was wifi at reception but they weren't willing to accept bank transfer. We stayed in one of the tented campsites, the rubbish bin was full from last guests. The mattresses were quite thin.
