Desert Serenity Gateway to Joshua Tree

The house was highly deceptive and provided all the necessary features.

I find nothing to dislike about this establishment.

The location was nice. The place had potential.

Nothing was as advertised. There were not 7 lounge chairs like shown. There were 2, and 3 torn up and trashed ones out past the driveway. The chairs and furniture were terribly uncomfortable and it was hard to relax inside. There was not enough bedside nightstands or lights for reading like shown in the photos. We couldn’t have an outside firepit even though wood was promised. We had to buy our own propane for the bbq and our own laundry soap and dishwasher soap. Also dryer sheets. For the $6000 price we paid for a week it was terrible. They wanted $200 a night to heat the pool and it was freezing. The gas fireplace outside was left ON and we smelled gas and thank god no one smoked and lit a match. The toilet paper was awful. Cheap and harsh. The water pressure was extremely poor. Bugs bugs bugs! So many bugs everywhere. We even stepped on a sun spider in the house and I killed 3 spiders in our master bedroom. Anytime we opened the doors at night it was like a swarm was waiting. The pool was full of dead bugs every night but we found the net and were able to scoop them out even though the pool was too cold to use. The decor was terrible!!!! Nothing like what the pictures showed. It was all false advertising and we are all horrified and have asked for a $1000 refund at least. They tried to tell us the rates were high because of Coachella. We are seniors from Oregon and have no idea what Coachella is, except that it’s clear down past Indio and should not have affected us. We are retired Military too. No consideration for those facts. The cement floors were gross with no baseboards in the house. More places for spiders. The cement floors are stained and horrible to walk on. It’s bad for your back. Nothing was comfortable except the beds. The view and location was great. We saw coyotes, jack rabbits, and roadrunners came to visit. The kitchen had limited pots and pans to use on an induction stove.

Location was excellent! Very close to Joshua Tree National Park entrance, also close to town with grocery stores and restaurants. Perfect place for star gazing . House is very well equipped , comfortable for multiple travelers. Great outdoor spaces with amazing spa and pool! We enjoyed our stay very much!

The location was key with easy access to restaurants and park entrance. We lived the view from the home, sitting high above the valley floor. We enjoyed the hot tub every night. It was easy to turn on. The jets were powerful!

There was no audio system! We had no way to play music. A real let down to a desert weekend. We also couldn’t use multiple amenities. The outdoor shower and two out gas fire pits were inoperable. The pool was dirty as well.

This was the best stay I’ve ever had. The villa had everything you could possibly need, and the whole house was incredible. We felt at home straight away, while still enjoying the perfect holiday vibe. It’s ideally located, close enough to shops and restaurants for convenience, but far enough away to enjoy pure peace and quiet. Whenever I had a question, I contacted the host through Booking.com and they responded quickly every single time. Their communication and attention to detail made the stay even better. We loved this place so much and will definitely return

The hot tub never warmed up but we still had the best time!
