Benidaruma - Yatsuhashi

Fantastic place, amazing hosts. I wish I could stay longer..It was a perfect Japanese experience with gracious and helpful hosts. I can’t thank them enough!

This is one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed in, and made that way by the lovely owners who are so friendly and helpful and really go above and beyond to help and make everything run smoothly. The accommodation is impeccably kept and maintained, lots of food for breakfast in the kitchen and a friendly communal vibe. Nice simple old fashioned tatami rooms and traditional bathroom. The location in the north of Kyoto was great for getting away from the over-touristed centre and perfectly located for hiking (Mt Hiei) and getting to some quieter locations like Mt Kurama. It's also easy to get into the city via metro. Such a pleasure to stay, I really hope to return!

A little bit far from the center but it is easy to get there by metro.

Clean, spacious rooms, great kitchen with lots of snacks, great toilets and showers.

Location is a bit too far away from everything.

I have stayed at Benidaruma for the third or fourth time, and it was - as always - excellent stay. Thank you!

Breakfast was awesome. Hosts were very nice. Everything was clean and nice rooms.

The train noise was hard for me to sleep with.

Cozy room and local home feel. Friendly and helpful owner. Good location for visiting north Kyoto. Conveniently located near subway station and bus stops.

Bath room is dim. Shared toilet is downstairs, a bit inconvenient.
