The cottage was perfect. Well designed, clean and in a very peaceful courtyard next to the owners home. It had everything we needed and made for a great place for our two night stay. The owner, Caroline, greeted us on arrival and showed us around the accomodation and made sure we had everything we needed. She made us feel very welcome and valued customers.

Lovely location. The property was at a very high standard. We received a very warm welcome.

I recently stayed at South View Farm Cottage 1 and initially booked for just one night. However, I was so impressed with the experience that I extended my stay for an additional night—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, Caroline and Steve proved to be some of the most exceptional hosts I’ve ever encountered. Caroline, in particular, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to show us around the property, and it was immediately clear how passionate she is about delivering outstanding hospitality. The cottage itself exceeded all expectations. The photos on Booking.com simply don’t do it justice. It’s evident that an incredible amount of care, thought, and effort has gone into the design and furnishing of the space. Every item felt purposeful and of high quality—no detail was overlooked. The cottage was absolutely spotless; I couldn’t find a single speck of dust. I truly appreciated the thoughtful touches that enhanced the comfort of our stay. A small bottle of milk was provided upon arrival, along with tea, coffee, sugar, and other essentials. There was even a universal mobile phone charger placed conveniently on the bedroom coffee table, as well as a selection of reading books. A full-size iron and ironing board were also provided—details like these really make a difference. I was slightly worried regarding the wifi connection due to the farm being located in rural areas. I can confirm that the wifi connection was excellent! Overall, this stay was nothing short of exceptional. The cottage was beautiful, and the hospitality from Caroline and Steve made it truly unforgettable. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend South View Farm Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and perfectly appointed getaway.

No complaints. Everything was perfect!

This place is an absolute home from home, very well equipped. The cottage is spotless, the towels are heavenly, thick and fluffy, and the bed is super comfy! Plenty of parking space, communication from Caroline and Steve, the hosts was exceptional, and what lovely people they are. Quality fixtures and fittings throughout, lovely outside furniture, there is also a lovely grassed area for sitting out too. Despite a previous review saying the WiFi is poor, the WiFi is NOT poor! It was great, Our phone signals weren’t great so because of the great WiFi we had no problems whatsoever. This place is a great find, a hidden gem and super close to Brontë country too.

Everything was PERFECT, there’s nothing not to like.

Excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming. Cracking recommendations to local pub (The White Horse for food) and to relatively nearby Hebdon Bridge for a trip out the next day. Fantastic personable service and a lovely little cottage as well.
