The room has a nice sea view

The location is very inconvenient: the road from the main highway is in terrible condition, and reaching the hotel means going steeply downhill (and later back uphill), which is exhausting with luggage. There is actually a gate at the top that leads directly into the hotel grounds, but no one mentioned it. A simple photo before check-in and a small bell for staff to open the gate and help with bags would have made a huge difference - instead, we had to drag our things across rocks. Breakfast and food were disappointing, and in the room we found only two small pieces of soap. When we asked for shower gel or liquid soap, we were told there wasn’t any. For a hotel charging 190 USD per night, it’s unacceptable not to provide even basic toiletries. Combined with the overpriced bar menu, the whole place feels overvalued and is hard to recommend for a longer stay.

The views from the room

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. Firstly, we visited for our babymoon, and I ordered buttermilk — shockingly, I found a jerry (insect) in it. I felt something moving in my mouth and immediately spat it out. This clearly shows the lack of hygiene and care in food preparation. I can’t even imagine what could have happened if I had swallowed it. 😔 Secondly, the bed carpet had a strong toilet-like odor, which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep throughout the night. Overall, I’m quite unhappy with the experience. For the amount we paid, I expected much better standards of cleanliness and service. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves in these areas.

We both had a fantastic stay at Dwarka. The beach huts you stay in are beautiful, with your own balcony to enjoy the views of the sea. The food was out of this world! It was absolutely delicious, two options to choose from - meat or veggie - so everyone is catered for. Cannot recommend the food enough here. The staff were welcoming and friendly, always happy to help where they could. The location is very secluded - please be aware that there are a lot of steps to reach the hotel and back up again so just be aware if you struggle with accessibility. You can easily rent a scooter to enable you to visit other places if you want (we did this, safe parking for your scooter on the hill above the hotel), or if you want pure relaxation you don't have to go anywhere! The beach is clean and safe - you can't enter the sea directly opposite the hotel due to the rocks BUT a very short walk to the opposite end of the beach you can find a quiet part of the beach where you can safely enter the sea. We used the hotels own kayak to explore the lagoon directly next door to the hotel - it's only a short kayak but early in the morning before it gets busy it's worth doing. There are stray dogs who wonder the beach but I cannot stress enough how they leave you alone - they don't scrounge and they are not aggressive. They're genuinely nothing to worry about and to be honest are a regular sight throughout india! We had a wonderful week here, and we couldn't recommend Dwarka enough!

THE SETTING. The setting are dreamlike. When in your room or in the restaurant/bar area you feel like you just don't want to move! So relaxing to simply soak up the surroundings. Very relaxing.

Great room and bathroom Cleaners did a great job

For a relatively expensive stay this place simply didn’t deliver - full board was compulsory and the food was nowhere near acceptable - one night half the main dishes were actually served cold at which point we complained ( first time in 45 years of travelling I’ve ever felt the need to do that ) - the following night things improved If you are going to charge a premium rate then deliver a premium service - the current offering is very far from that They would be better offering bed and breakfast and focus on their strengths ie the rooms are nice and the cleaners do a great job As it is we left feeling very disappointed with the experience I used the laundry service and my white clothes came back covered in yellow stains - again spoke with the staff with zero result Same principle - if you are going to offer a service make sure you can actually provide it to a reasonable level or don’t offer it

Amazing resort. Lovely comfortable rooms with views straight out to the beach. Wonderful peaceful atmosphere with sounds of the waves at night. Lovely secluded beach for swimming just a few minutes walk up the beach.
