Overall good all things

Cook was not there, so home taker make breakfast for me egg + bread which is over cooked, that's i don't like

The only thing that was great was the view from the stay.

I don't know how they're selling water bottles above MRP rates. It's illegal to sell anything above MRP that's mentioned on the item. I thought, unlike in all stays/hotels, first water bottles are complimentary, but here they are charging Rs. 25/- instead of printed rate of Rs. 20/-, strange rules made by them. The food items were overpriced, with no taste. We tried dal tadka, which was not at all eatable, but the price was around Rs. 180/-. We ordered tea, which we normally get at Rs. 10- 15 in most of the places, but here it's Rs. 25/-, that too it tasted like we are having a cup of hot water. The location is also worst, everytime we had to pay at least Rs. 1000/- to go to anywhere. The worst part was, at the time of check-in, they asked us to pay the whole amount, which we normally pay during checkout. The blankets were too smelly with big holes in them. The support staff was telling stories of previous guests and tried to force us to bring mutton so that they could also consume. He also told my mother-in-law indirectly to sweep the floor, as one of their previous guest did. The staff Sandeep was very disturbing, he used rang the bell every now and then and forced us to order something. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOMESTAY AT ALL. Look for something near Lansdowne. It's not in Lansdowne.

Unless you have your own vehicle, it's very costly to reach the property.

Excellent property to stay at within budget. The caretaker Sandeep is extremely responsive and he will make sure to attend to your every need. The environment is excellently hospitable. Beautiful location as well! Absolutely top recommended home stay in Jaiharikhal (Lansdowne town is about 4 kms uphill and is a 15 min drive)

The only thing which I was a little disappointed with is that room cleaning is a chargeable service (Rs 150). I mean if you're staying for three nights then basic room and bathroom cleaning should be a part of the package! I hope Ankit Rawat (who manages the property) takes this feedback constructively and does what can be done best.
