Hemsby Chalet Get Aways on Seadell Chalet Park

You get what you pay for it wasn't the ritz but ideal for my use , slightly dated , needs updating but it is a older site, quiet , relaxing. The hot / warm water was an issue , took a long time to warm up .

The chalet was comfortable and in an excellent location. The park is quiet but still close to the action of Hemsby. We have stayed in many different chalets on this site and this was one of the most comfortable.

The day I left. Good location

It was freezing, smelt of damp, shower didnt work, bath was disgusting, cooker was extremely slow, £5 a day electric despite being out all day and most the evening as at beach etc (i dont even pay that at home). Host was more disgusting than the apartment, confrontational and came with an extreme sense of control to be right. Despite photos and videos he had an excuse for everything. Im well travelled and I dont remember the last time ive actually left a bad review which speaks volumes. Host also offered a £25 refund to degrade the situation further and told me not to spend it all at once. Never got the refund though. UPDATE...Host is angry ive written an honest review and only since seing this review has now contacted me on this site as well as by personal phone number & attempted to issue his insult of £25 and also threatened to take me to small claims court if I do not remove my review. I will not be removing my HONEST review whatsoever and i havent even mentioned the majority of issues i had during my short stay, I guess it just goes to show the comment of control stands firmly.

The site is in a great location, very close to Hemsbys town and the onsite shop was very convenient. The double bed was very comfy

Unfortunately the chalet was filthy and smelt so bad of damp and mould. We also had to pay £20 in electric from 5pm friday to 9am Monday. The only heating is plug in heaters and we only had 2. There are 3 rooms which meant one room was always freezing and the bathroom was particularly cold. The cooker, microwave and toaster were dirty and not fit for cooking. The carpet was so dirty it made our socks black within minutes. The cushions on the sofa were dirty and stained. There was no mat in the bath which meant I couldnt shower the children as they werent able to safely stand up. The only way to get hot water for the bath is to switch on the emersion which cost a fortune! I have paid significantly less for much better chalets. This isnt fit for human habitation. The smell of damp is so bad is clings to your clothes and hair all day. We had to wash everything on our return, even things we didnt wear. I have never left anyone a bad review in my life but I cannot let this pass. Save your money and DONT book this. It needs a serious and complete overhaul. I have booked another chalet in May for £80 less and its beautiful inside. This place really is the worst ive ever been in. 260 we paid including electric. I honestly feel like ive been robbed.
