Main Stream Beach Villa

A good guesthouse located "in the middle of nowhere" :) Comfortable rooms and very friendly staff, also owner was extremely helpful

Quite high price of food (probably because there is no alternative around). But Malawi is very cheap, so the prices were definitevely acceptable :)

Excellent food and sunrise view from the bed in the executive suite

Swim area not good (not owners fault but due to high level of the lake)

It was homely

The room had no tea/coffee facilities, no TV and particularly no fridge, no complementary water

Loved the room I slept in as it was located by the lake view waking up in the morning to the view of a beautiful lake.

Oh! Waking up in the morning jumping in the shower only to find out there was no hot water. Waited for minutes 😞 I ended up taking a cold shower with my little boy 🤧

A beautiful location and such welcoming, attentive staff. And the FOOD 😍 - honestly the best we ate in Malawi, get the butterfish if you’re there, you won’t regret it!

The place is beautiful, my worry is security, as there is no gate. The owner upon arrival of a Guest should provide enough information to the Guest, regarding availability of breakfast, wifi, etc

I've now been to Main Stream Beach Villa several times this year and today I want to highlight what is probably the best meal I've had at the lake - their grilled butterfish!

This is an honest, friendly and clean lake side project with that wonderful charcoaled fish that you'll always remember. Nothing to dislike at this price.
