Terra Nova Luxury Villa

Très jolie villa, au calme. Bien située pour rayonner dans le Péloponnèse. Nous n'avons pas eu l'utilité de la piscine et du barbecue vu qu'il faisait encore plutôt frais (la piscine n'avait pas encore été mise en eau d'ailleurs).

Ce serait bien d'installer au moins une prise dans les salles de bain !

The owner was rude and unfriendly from the beginning to the end. The place is nice enough but the grass was not cut, the pool was empty and it looks like there is no regular maintenance.

This was an amazing place to stay for our family's first trip to Greece. We all commented the beds were the most comfortable we'd ever slept on and it was just the right amount of space with an ideal, open-concept layout so we could all eat together and relax in the kitchen/living/dining area that flowed nicely together. It was incredibly peaceful and we had a beautiful patio and view of the mountains with fig and olive trees surrounding the house. We could even walk to Knystica Palace and have an amazing breakfast for around $15 per person, which we took advantage of several times.

We booked this place specifically because the host told us it had a heated pool. However, when we arrived he said there was no heater, so we unfortunately weren't able to use the pool although the weather was warm enough (low to mid 70s in October.) The pool temperature was around 60, much too cold especially for kids. So that was a bit of a bummer but not the biggest deal. The biggest issue was Booking.com's policy of charging varying rates per person. When we unexpectedly needed to add three family members and made the mistake of telling them, the price went up significantly despite the fact that we had already paid for the entire place (a villa with three rooms) in full. I understand there is additional cleaning when you have additional people but the fact remains we already paid to rent three rooms and shouldn't be charged an exorbitant amount of money because we told them we'd be using all three as a courtesy. Initially the host said he would only charge a cleaning fee of $500, and we agreed. Then he came back a month before the trip and said it would be $1,190 extra. We would have cancelled at that point but the reservation that was initially fully refundable was no longer refundable, so we had no other option. I spent many hours on the phone with Booking.com and ultimately they told me they would modify the reservation at no additional charge. I was so relieved. Then, the day before the trip, my credit card was charged $1,190. I was furious but again, we had no other option. I spent many hours on the phone again with Booking.com, restating the issue to a new person each time and trying to resolve this in the month following the trip. Ultimately we were given a partial refund for which I'm very grateful. While we loved staying here, the whole experience of booking the house was extremely frustrating and could have been handled differently. I think they should seriously reconsider the per-person pricing model.

It’s spacious and very clean. The pool area is very nice.

Just for people looking to book this villa: you do need a car to do about anything (groceries, restaurants and obviously activities).
