Paeroa Rail Trail Motel

Nothing to like, as very average.

This property is emergency housing , but we were not informed when booking, We only found out at reception after asking 4 times that it was in fact emergency housing. Office locked when we arrived with the owner sitting in a chair looking at me. A child was on the office computer, and I had to wait for the child to finish before she could check the booking details. As emergency housing issue was brought to our attention to late in the day, We had no other option nor time to book else where. We had to remove all items of value out of our vehicle and into the unit. This ended up been a waste of time because when we wanted to go somewhere we couldn't, due to the windows, as they were seized open. It says its a 8.0 rating , but we you see this 8.0 rating sticker on the window it was back in 2015 so it not updated .

My family and I had a delightful two-night stay. The room was clean, well-appointed, and provided a high level of comfort, particularly the bed. The proprietors were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, contributing to a warm and pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit. Additionally, the property's convenient proximity to the town center and the neighboring café-restaurant, Jokers, made dining and exploring the area both easy and enjoyable.

Motel was in a handy location, easy to access from the Hauraki Rail Trail and a short stroll into town. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a shed to lock up the bikes.

The property is a little run down/showing it's age, and the bed was rock solid - which is really just a personal preference rather than a negative.

The room was very clean & had everything you would need to be comfortable for a short stay.Staff were friendly & greated you warmly

Our only complaint would be the single bed in the room had a very soft mattress which was ideal
