BayView Apartment - Taormina Holidays

The location and view was superb. Just a 3 minute walk from the apartment and you're in the middle of Taormina shop/restaurant area, however, it's still withdrawn from the hustle and bustle of tourists and traffic. Great view of the sea. Good floor plan and ok beds. Plenty of wardrobe space if you would need it (we seem never to really unpack).

The kitchen was ok equipped, but some things were lacking. For instance, there were only 3 wine glasses. You would be able to cook basic food if you wanted. The apartment itself was nice and very clean, while the wardrobe (shower/toilet) in the pool area looked wore down and hardly cleaned, missing toilet paper etc. The pool itself was very nice. The pool was quite chill in the morning and afternoon, so I think it was only naturally heated. Never too crowded which was nice. A small thing to complain about, but the elevators were extremly slow and seemed badly programmed as they only accepted one command at a time. We had to use the elevators for accessing the pool, and sometimes spent 15 minutes just getting a small thing in the apartment. It was a bit expensive, but I have no idea what the average price level of the area is.

Superb location with excellent and quick access to Taormina old town. Stunning pool area and very convenient with a car with secure, undercover, dedicated car park.

Multiple maintenance issues known to staff before arrival were not communicated. AC not working, no toilet seat, shower head held together with masking tape. Key issues were resolved promptly. Was also marketed at a 1 Bedroom. This property is NOT a 1 bedroom - is a studio with a fold down bed.
