Jinsim House in Hongdea

Location. Value for money. Wifi good. Aircon good.

Bit dated. Shower not practical.

one room did not have a working AC. Bed was almost falling apart. Under the bed was very dirty

Second stay. The location is slay, Hongdae station and red road are right there but the building is tucked back enough that it’s not loud. The bed and pillows are comfy and I like being able to cook in the kitchen and have a fridge. The bathroom was big too.

The shower head situation honestly needs the be addressed (501). The water shot straight out vertically so we ended up kinda taping it to the wall differently with command hooks we bought. My room last year had a better shower though.

Enough size of bed and fridge. Very good access to the station and the city center. Good amenities and clean bed.

No plug near the bed.

The location was very good, right next to Hongdae’s lively streets and not noisy. I felt safe.

I don’t know if I missed the information but i wasn’t expecting my room to be in the basement of the building. The rooms 100,101,102 and 103 are all on basement level.

The room was spacious and offered utilities like personal air conditioning, a desk for working, a mounted television, a stove, kettle, and great water pressure in the shower. The location is within 2 minutes walking of Hongdae's main square, so you are super close to tons of restaurant options. Trash removal was simple, and it was nice to have small tools like shampoo, body wash, and tissues provided at no additional cost. Wi-Fi was also fast. This place was truly a great value. Twice as good as something you would get for only a little less per night. If that wasn't super clear, I mean the value was great.

There were only two issues I had with this unit - firstly, the outlets are all in hard to access locations, and the one next to the bed in my unit didn't work at all. Definitely a little inconvenient. My only other complaint was that there is no location for clothing storage, that is to say, no cabinet or closet in the unit. This doesn't matter for short stays, but I spent 2 weeks there, and felt that inconvenience slightly.
