Coastal Eco-Lodge with hottub Charleton Estate

The properties was clean and set up lovely. It felt very homely and and although small enough space for everyone. The fires were set up for us arriving and the beds made as singles as requested. The hot tub was a lovely addition to our stay as well

One of the things that was commented on was the lack of kitchen utensils. Although it’s obviously a self catering lodge we felt like it would do with a few more items for ease if cooking - more chopping boards, sharper and more knives, scissors and a spray to wipe the table and worktop down. Bar that everything else was great!

Lovely location, impressive lodge. Price was reasonable. We had a nice stay but wouldn't return.

We emptied and tried our best to clean the hot tub but pipes were still dirty. Logs supplied for heating the tub were too big and fire kept going out. Nowhere to cut the wood smaller. Brought our own kindling and eventually it heated up. However due to it being dirty we didn't go in. Single beds - mattresses aren't comfortable and are bit lumpy, definitely due an upgrade.

Fantastic location and the outdoor fireplace and hot tub were brilliant.

Kitchen table and chairs are a bit cheap and unstable and could use an upgrade. Could use more pans and such for cooking food. Some of the beds could also use an upgrade.

The sauna was really good. Having a fire outside made a change while working away.

There wasn’t much to do any cooking. Made it very limited what to cook. Maybe provide a bigger pan, oven dishes/trays ect.

This is a beautiful lodge. Well layed out and has everything you need from a pair of scissors to a laid dining setting. The Log fires were made ready to light - if you need them. The beds made up and rooms aired for use. Light airy and spacious, couple of board games, books, tv and brilliant wifi. We hit it lucky with the weather and whilst we cooked dinner ( well stocked for kitchen implements and white goods) and ate indoors we sat out on deck until midnight chatting infront of outdoor fireplace. Quiet and peaceful, whilst more lodges are around they are adequately spaced. Even with a group of ladies next door with their dogs we all had plenty of space and didn't have to moderate for noise. Bliss! This is definately an Arnie find- Ill be back !

As a group there were lots of questions that we wanted to ask and emails were answered promptly and when we were there the hosts came to our lodge to assist too. Very helpful. We were able to get into our lodge a bit earlier and leave a bit later too.

As there was 6 of us, we struggled with only 1 toilet, however the toilet we had was spacious. We couldn’t get the fire to light on the 1st night to heat the hot tub, but the host came and helped
