We were there in August and without air conditioning, it can be quite hot and stuffy at night.

WOW, WOW, WOW.....location, location, location. If you want a superb apartment overlooking the Portofino Harbour look no further. The property is on the first floor and overlooks the harbour, super yachts and boats, and the Brown Castle and Portofino peninsular providing a picturbook backdrop for the perfect stay. All Portofino amenities are a short walk away with a variety of bars, restaurants and shops. Federico, the owner/host was excellent with very good and responsive communications via email and WhatsApp. All in all an excellent all-round choice that would be difficult to better.

The access to the apartment is via a steep staircase that could have been better illuminated, other than that, not much we didn't like. If you want a 5-Star hotel book a 5-Star hotel, if you want a comfortable home from home book Portofino Above the Sea!

Location Location Location Fantastic location opposite the Portofino Marina. Walking distance to all of Portofino’s establishments - shops & restaurants

Mattresses could be replaced with better quality Light switch to first bathroom was unsafe. Flickering Lack of lighting in kitchen area where coffee machine is. Steps / Flooring leading to lower bathroom need to be fixed securely. Also Toilet seat in lower bathroom needs to be centred and tightened . All of these maintenance issues can be solved very easily.

It was a cosy place to stay. Lovely host who was in touch to make sure they were around if we had any requirements. Great location and spectacular views ! We would want to come back and stay here again!
