Los Guacamayos La Ceiba

This really is just a place to travel through. The rooms are good enough for one night but i would not stay longer. There is working AC.

The place is very run down. At some places there was water damages, doors would not lock, showers were dripping the whole night. If you are unlucky and you get a middle room you have the lights from both sides from the corridors in your room the whole night.

Nothing fancy but great value for money (private room with en-suite bathroom and AC)

Staff is very helpful, they are ready to answer all your questions. FYI, as of Dec 2024, shuttle bus to lago de Yojoa is $50, to Leon or Managua in nicaragüense is $80.

I kind wonder if the floor was moped at all, you also see lots of greedy stains on the bathroom floor (I got a private room with en-suite toilet) No hot shower

The staff was very nice.

I feel really bad I have to write this since they were really nice and also gave a free room upgrade BUT the bedsheets were all dirty, the room smelled, the shower was so gross, the sink was loose, something on the toilet leaked, in the hotel halls there were water puddles everywhere because it rained inside, the furniture was really gross. I’m really sorry to say that but it is a really disgusting place. Rather spend a couple more euros on some other place

Tried to change our booking with plenty of notice but they just wanted our money and didn’t respond- the extension request expired and so we had to pay - DO NOT BOOK

The staff was very kind, helpful, they help me with my ferry tickets and they took us to the ferry for free, Also the driver was very nice guy. I want to go back to do some tour activities in La ceiba.
