Tenuta Guardastelle - Agriturismo and vineyard

Beautiful property, comfortable beds and great pool.

It would be great to have a restaurant there. Eating a dinner overlooking the hills would be a dream come true. I would also recommend kids swing

Friendly and the wine - perfection!!

Fausto and Susanna were great hosts. The breakfast was delicious and all home made.

We loved the very comfortable and homey accommodation, as well as their thoughtful selection of teas and snacks available all day. Speaking of delectables, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrasse where we had breakfast every morning. On offer was a great selection of pastries from a local bakery, the option to have eggs and bacon, a selection of cold cuts (as well as fruit salad, cereals and yoghurts for the more healthy food inclined) and a savoury offering that changed every day, as did Stefania's cakes - her biscotti justified the trip alone! We regret not having allowed some the time to attend a proper wine tasting session, but the wines we sampled from their own vineyards were delightful, especially the Chianti riserva. We had the good fortune of test driving their newly acquired ebikes, which enabled us to take in the gorgeous surroundings at a more leisurely pace. We particularly appreciated the very personal service from Fausto, as well as the handy map and restaurant recommendations from Claudia. The tenuta is fantasticly located: we walked to SG every evening for dinner, about 15 mins via a quiet and scenic back road, which meant we were both able to enjoy the fantastic local wines! In short: we can't recommend this place enough!

Nothing, but if we have to find something: we would have appreciated some cammomille or some other kind of herbal tea to be available from the tea selection, in order to have a calming hot drink before going to bed.

Tenuta Guardastelle is a magical place in Tuscany. The vistas were stunning and everyone there is focused on giving you a memorable holiday. My husband and I were there with my sister and brother in law, so staying in the private rooms was perfect. The breakfasts were abundant, fresh and beautiful. I highly recommend the Tuscan bacon, not at all what we have in the states. The wine tour with lunch was totally worth it, and the town is a short car ride away, and if you like to walk you can take the Via Vecchio which has almost no traffic. We were there in the beginning of October, when the pool should have been closed, but it was so warm, that month, that they keep it open. Such a treat. The town has many excellent restaurants. We loved Peruca Restaurant! We loved Tenuta Guardastelle! The city of Voltara is close by and worth a half day trip if you have the time.

We are in our 60's and 70's so walking to San Gimignano was not possible, but it was only a short car ride.

Very nice facility in Tuscany Perfect location to the town of San Gimignano ...... easy walk and a bit less than a mile away. Great breakfast with an assortment of everything you could want. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and could answer any questions about the area, restaurants, etc.

The property was luxurious, comfortable bed, superb breakfast & wonderful friendly staff. Would definitely be back to stay again.
