Tenuta Guardastelle - Agriturismo and vineyard

It was everything we had hoped it would be and more.

The property is set in the most perfect surrounding with San Gimignano city walls in the landscape. The breakfast was exceptional. We have been fortunate to experience cooking class/schools before and this was our absolute favorite. The property was clean and it was a good value.

We’ve stayed in some amazing accommodations in the month we’ve been away. What’s consistently elevated a place from good to great is the staff, and that was true of Guardastelle. Matilde, Claudia , Fausto were all great ambassadors for their resort.

Excellent panorama, very clean room, very kind service, really beautiful experience and professional service with wine tour and picnic.

The wifi was weak and limited to the room. There was no wholewheat bread but only for a few days.

Guardestelle is an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Everything about the estate has been done with the finest attention to detail and with high standards. The rooms are generous in size and have been furnished beautifully and with authenticity, in keeping with the age of the house. The pool is stunning and a perfect place to relax with a book. Fausto, his family and the wider Guardestelle community are perfect hosts, always ready to go above and beyond and make you feel at home. After a delayed flight, we were greeted by Fausto with a glass of wine and him telling us he let the nearby restaurant we had booked know we might be late. The breakfast was fabulous with homemade breads and cakes, and views to die for. The walk up to San Gimignano rewards with spectacular views, and on return in the dark, with a magical display by the fireflies, twinkling like fairy lights in the hedgerows. I am already planning a return trip!
