Lost Paradise Sri Lanka

This place is 10/10. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. The room is very spacious, nicely decorated and fully furnished. Clean sheets, clean towels. Lots of sunlight. Powerful ac. Bathroom has everything - soap, shampoo, gel, conditioner. Quite close to Cargills. Cafe is nice too. Absolutely recommend!

Everything was absolutely amazing! The room was spacious, comfortable bed and hot shower. The place is centrally located and the coffee shop attached to it was a great bonus. The owners are beyond kind, giving us local tips and helping with motorbike rental. And I’ve never seen cuter dogs than theirs!!!

great location, modern and very clean place, great wifi, good coffee place onsite (+ you get a 20% discount), and very kind owners (that speaks perfectly English).

The only things that could be improved are the privacy by adding a veil and the water pressure but it's a common problem in Sri Lanka

The room was simple, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the food at the coffee shop! The owners were nice and friendly, we loved their dogs. There was enough space in the garden to park the bike.

Loved our 2 night stay here, room was super clean and comfortable, beautiful garden area right outside your door. Also has a cafe out the front which is incredible food and you get 20% off being a guest, so so nice Highly recommend to stay here, can’t wait to come back

Cat and Sharma are lovely and welcome you into their beautiful property. They went out of their way to help me with an issue I had during my stay - cannot thank them enough. They take real pride and care in their business which is echoed throughout the property. The onsite cafe has some of THE best smoothie bowls. Rooms are clean, spacious and light with a beautiful view of the garden …. Most importantly with a lovely hot shower! Location is great.

all the positives were overshadowed by shortcomings

Not recommended – unsanitary conditions, insects, and construction noise (Lost Paradise in Mirissa) I stayed in room No. 4 at Lost Paradise in Mirissa and had an extremely negative experience. The building is partially under renovation, and construction noise from the upper floor was clearly audible during the day. Main issues: * No basic amenities in the room (no kettle, no safe), and some furniture was broken. * The mattress was very old and dirty, with visible holes. After the first night, I found numerous bites on my body. I suspect bedbugs, as the problem worsened the following night. * Drinking water was provided in a metal bottle, with no indication of when it was last replaced — I did not feel safe drinking it. * The bathroom was in poor condition: dirty, broken, and generally unpleasant. The sink was cracked. * There were many ants in the room and no protection from insects. I contacted the host on April 28 to report these issues. He came to inspect the room but did not acknowledge the problems. Instead, he claimed that no one had complained before. He said he would consider the situation and a possible refund, but never followed up. He refused an early checkout without penalty, saying he had a potential booking through Airbnb and would incur losses. As a result, my money was withheld, and no alternatives were offered. I had to book a different hotel at my own expense. This situation negatively affected my holiday. I do not recommend Lost Paradise in Mirissa.
